In a completely unscientific survey in which a bunch of girls waiting backstage at a rock gig were asked who they would prefer to engage in horizontal aerobics with the majority said that they would be happier if a drummer put his junk in their trunk.
The gig was a well known, popular American stadium rock band currently touring Europe. The girls may have been groupies, but then again they may have been autograph hunters. Either way, they were very excited and clealy not impressed by guitart gods. They said that drummers were generally better lovers.
When asked why this was they said that it was probably all the pounding of the drum kits and the sweating that they did. They said that guitarists jus pose around and wiggle their fingers.
So there you have it. If you want to get laid by groupies don’t go wasting your money on expensive guitars. Buy yourself a drum kit and get sweaty.
After last years disappointing weather and general mud-bath, Bestival 2009 was bathed in glorious sunshine for the whole of the weekend. As a result the number of people who entered in the fancy dress spirit was unbelievable. I suppose it may have been something to do with the competition to win lifetime tickets to the event!
Competition judge and mega performer, Lily Allen, entered into the spirit by wearing a revealing homage to Barbarella. This included a stunning mini dress and silver thigh-high boots. She opened her set on Saturday afternoon with the appropriately named ‘Everyone’s at it’ and impressed with versions of ‘Back to the Start’ and ‘Smile’.
Lily has been viewing all the pictures sent in for the last six months, and has been picking one winner per month from all of the entries. August was the final month’s entry, and was won by er.. Tron. Lily was quoted as saying, “Tron wins in my eyes, mainly because the green sparkly material is so unflattering, but he manages to pull it off so well!” I’m sure he does, Lily!
Tron joins the other five winners, and as well as walking away with £100 worth of Bollywood Cocktail drink tokens, goes into the grand draw to win Lifetime tickets to Bestival!
Personally, my favourite are these lovely luney (or should it be lunar) leggy babes, strutting (sorry) there stuff and standing head and shoulders over the competition.
I have recently been getting a lot of telemarketing calls to my mobile phone number. It makes me wonder whether companies are passing on information even when you request it not to be.
I have had calls from all over the world including Nigeria and India. If a UK company is trying to make a sale I do not believe anyone would hand their valuable card details to someone in a different country.
For the simple reason that you just do not know who is listening to the call or who could have possibly hacked into it.
